Writer:
Julie announces with pride, the publication, DAD DIDN’T PREP ME FOR MURDER, the first in the Jaeger and Rivers Mystery Series AVAILABLE APRIL 15, 2025. The unlikely duo of Emma Jaeger and Stevie Rivers forge their friendship with wry quips and a tenacity for the truth as they strive to prove Emma’s innocence.

Emma and Stevie return in book two of the series scheduled to be published in January 2026.

A separate historical mystery work-in-progress is scheduled for publication in December 2025. In 1988, Third Mate Anna Sarojak sails on a US merchant ship to find the chief mate murdered and mayhem brewing on the South China Sea.

Julie is also a devotee of theater, both professional and community theater. After performing and directing in numerous local shows, she began writing her own comedies and dramas. The results are several award-winning shorts, one-act and full-length plays.

Science and Business:
From her early years Julie curled up with Louisa May Alcott and dreamt of writing. But, as she entered college science pulled her in a different direction. After graduating from Chestnut Hill College DuPont Crop Protection

In her years at DuPont, she worked both in a laboratory and in the field. After transitioning to management, she launched project management for their Agro R&D division and trained scientists and managers domestically and internationally.

By 2001, she had seen enough small business to make her wonder… could she start her own? When a downsizing released several excellent scientists, she took the plunge. A handful of trusting and trusty women, joined her in a small facility and they got to work. Twelve years later, with 85 staff in three states, she sold to an international company. She continued as part-time CEO until June 2016 when she began writing in earnest.

Family:
Mother/Grandmother: She and her husband of thirty five years have between them six children and nine grandchildren, all bundles of energy spread out over five states.

Memberships and Education:
Julie is an active member of Sisters in Crime. She also holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Villanova University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Chestnut Hill College.
